As you
know, we spent our Christmas at the hospital, and the beginning of the year as
well...On the 16th of January we made our way to the hospital for Lourenço's
kidney surgery. It was the second time he had to go through this, but all
is well! The two hour surgery seamed endless. I grew impatient looking at the
clock, and felt my heart become smaller and smaller praying in silence, and when
it was all over I could feel it become as big as the world jumping for joy and feeling
grateful! My baby was fine!
It never ceases to amaze me how nature is truly
wonderful! Children, unlike most adults show a true appreciation and zest for
life! The second day after his surgery, all Lourenço wanted was to get out of
that hospital bed and play, and laugh, and jump and experience all the things
that made him happy. Life was waiting for him and he couldn't waste another
minute!! The fact he had undergone surgery and had all these wires attached to
his body was no obstacle for him! Life is there to be taken in with joy in our
hearts! Thank you all for your support and friendship. Thank you.
Como sabem o nosso natal foi passado no hospital, e o nosso
começo de ano também. Dia 16 de Janeiro o Lourenço foi operado ao rim esquerdo.
Foi a segunda operação pela qual ele teve que passar e tudo correu bem! Foram
duas horas de cirurgia que pareciam nunca mais acabar. Os minutos e os segundas
arrastavam-se comigo a conta-los impacientemente. O meu coração ficou pequenino
a rezar baixinho e depois grande como o mundo a pular de alegria e gratidão. O
meu bebé está bem!
É incrível como a natureza é maravilhosa e as crianças
melhor que os adultos, espelham a alegria de viver. Ao fim do segundo dia de
internamento, o que o Lourenço queria era que o tirassem da cama para que ele
pudesse brincar, pular, tocar, mexer e tudo mais a que tinha direito. A vida
estava á sua espera e ele não queria perder um minuto! O facto de ter sido
operado, de haver fios por todo o lado e de todo o receio que nós, estávamos a
sentir por ele, nada disso era impeditivo para o Lourenço! A vida é mesmo para
ser vivida com alegria no coração! Obrigado a todos que nos apoiaram. O meu
coração de mãe agradece.
